Rants !

I love ranting! Its so cathartic. Here are just a few of the things that (as of 11/20/2009) I'm going to rant about.

Twitter

I really don't know know much about Twitter, but from all the hoopla I've seen about it, I don't want to. I think if your going to use the internet you should have a web page. You should have to pay a least a minimal amount for it and use HTML or something like it to edit it. That keeps the riffraff out. If your too lazy or cheap to do that you don't have anything to say. As for some bozo actor that gets all Twittered up, I think he makes enough money to hire some pros to make him a nice web site and keep it up. Quit being greedy. And at the same time they might actually make you look smarter. I really don't care about some politico's Twitter. First of all we've seen you on TV and you don't have enough brains to figure out which end to piss through. Anything on your "Twitter" has been written for you by some spinster just like your book was. Go back to cheerleading and quit telling other women what to do with their uterus.

The News

I'd like to put out a really long rant on this, but most everyone that would read it already agrees. There is no news anymore. At least what news there is isn't reported to us. What there is today is a 4th estate that has sold out to Wall Street, Madison Avenue and those posing as Gods messengers on Earth. Here is all the news you will see or hear in the next 12 months:

Emails sent with intent to discredit for political reasons

Consider the jackass that sends me emails (that are nothing more than character assassinations) meant to sway me to agree with their political point of view. if I agreed with you it would be unnecessary to try to change my opinion. If you are sending this email because you think I will change my opinion based on the low moral back biting dribble you send, then you are wasting your time and mine. What's worse is that most of this type of email can easily be disproved. Try Snopes.com before you send me something. That is only step one. If you send me some quote, be sure it isn't made from someone with an agenda that I can easily pick apart. Lets see, you quote some author who hates the same thing you do. I get online and find that this "author" s currently being sued by his publisher when they found out all the "Facts" he quotes in his work are fiction or out and out lies meant to promote his political agenda. This happened to me recently and I now have such a low opinion of the person that forwarded me this tripe that I delete his email without reading. If you quote someone that runs an anti-abortion web site I will find out and know they have an agenda and whatever you have sent will be considered biased and most likely untrue. I don't trust someone that forwards me something they haven't checked out or at least states so in plain English. Emailing me something which proves to be a lie or slander makes you part of that. If you want me to think of you as a liar, send me crap that I can show isn't true (or most likely isn't) and I'll be happy to think of you as a liar with no morals at all. It is true that some things may look like the truth, and I don't mind if that's the case, but check the motive before you send it to me or anyone else. Do you really care if it's the truth? Is it helpful information or just slander. Would you like it if someone said somehing about you without you being able to defend yourself? how about if it's a lie? What it comes down to is this:

Will it make me see the issue the way you'd like to present it or will it make me think less of YOU?
