Well so much for the DMV. I would like to talk about something more important than employing useless people. I'd like to talk about the people I know who not only do their job efficiently and with dignity, but also manage to squeeze something extra out. They raise kids, make art, help other people and in general are good people. I know quite a few and I hang out with them on a regular basis. One is a guy I work with at Stanford (I am employed there doing desktop support stuff for the School of Medicine). He not only does good computer work there, he creates art and Flash cartoons. Check out the button on the left for the Gnome Video and you'll see what I mean. Another Guy I know is a plumber and he was responsible for 1/2 the Gnome series in the first place. If it wasn't for him I would never had met the gnome in the first place.You can see a picture of him in the Gnome Story. We call him Poop Smith because of his job and well he looks like Poop Smith from the Homestar Runner page. There is a link to the Homestar page on the left so you should push that button as soon as you can. Plan on spending a few hours on the Homestar Runner site because its cool and addictive and... well you'll see! There is also a friend of mine that lives on a boat and he tries to keep me sane. Tough job! He has a sense of humor too! I guess you'd need that with his job. His REAL job is computer stuff, but he also like to play with cameras and drive his naked Volvo wagon. I told him I'd get him some glue and stuff so he could dress up his Volvo, but he seems to think that isn't his style. There is a lady I hang out with too and we all call her Lucy on account of that she has blondish red hair. One guy I know always tells her he likes her hair. She has one really cool thing she does that I almost never see anyone get right. She can spit her gum almost 250 feet!! Well maybe I exaggerate a little, but she can project it like it was shot from a canon. The last guy I will talk about here I have known for 51 years! We have wonderful names we know each other by such as "Fat Ass" or "Cappy' (which refers to a boat trip I took without a paddle). He's cool too. He looks after his family in an exemplary way and doesn't know that some of us see that and are inspired by it. Too bad he's such a Fat Ass.
